Spring 2010

90 Mother of All Tailgaters

I received reports from the front lines that the Class of 1990 Grace Hall again hosted the mother of all tailgaters (aka “Cincigator”) this year. Men who attended the weekend and survived were Robert Fitzgerald, Jeff Menche, Mark Lowney, George "The Chief" Traverse, Carl Flecker, and Bill Sherman.  Many more assuredly stopped by, but those are the attendees that the reporter can remember. Others that made it to campus this fall were: USC – Jon Giometti, Todd Laddusaw, Jen (Amestoy) Reilly, Phil Kraker, Steve “Eddie” Polansky, and Patrick Burns; at Boston College – Jim Vespalec and Liza (Yurchak) Callahan; at Navy – Joe Holliday and Robert MacDonald; at UConn – Eric Sack, Ken Scheve, and Alex Derchak. In other news, John Beisty is living with his wife Sally and two children Owen (8) and Lila (6) in Heidelberg Germany. John is a global vice president for German software maker SAP. Chris Morphew, his wife Tanya, and three children recently moved from Athens, GA to Iowa City, IA, where he took a new position as professor and chair at the University of Iowa. Sadly, John Immonen passed away unexpectedly last December. His family noted that John brought joy to so many people, was a gifted musician, and was taken from this earth far too soon. Looking forward to seeing everyone at Reunion in June! -- Chris Paul; chrispaul@alumni.nd.edu, http://1990.undclass.org
